NATIONAL QUALITY CARE NETWORK

The National Quality Care Network (NQCN)

The National Quality Care Network (NQCN) is a national network of organizations, scientists and advocates involved in implementing evidence-based caregiver support programs in a wide array of settings.

The NQCN includes Quality Care Connections, funded by Johnson and Johnson, and includes five practice sites implementing evidence based programs for Alzheimer's caregivers (read more about the QCC). Other members of the NQCN include the Veterans Administration which is implementing REACH in more than twenty Veterans Administration service sites across the USA. Among the activities of NQCN are:

  • Identifying, disseminating and developing evidence-based interventions, clinical guidelines, standards of care, and workforce development strategies to achieve quality in long-term, home and community-based care.

  • Organizing educational events including conferences, training sessions and workshops to support the overall work of the NQCN and to advance the science of impelmentation.

  • Organizing educational events that help promote more effective programs and policies to support family and paid caregivers, including our 2008 National Conference held October 23-24, 2008 and a full day program on evidence-based programs for caregivers at NCOA/ASA in March of 2009.
