ABOUT RCI

Dorothy Cantor, PsyD

Dr. Dorothy Cantor is a psychologist in private practice in Westfield, New Jersey. A 1976 graduate of the Graduate School of Applied and Professional Psychology at Rutgers University, she is co-author with Dr. Toni Bernay of the groundbreaking book, Women in Power - The Secrets of Leadership. She has also authored, What Do You Want to Do When You Grow Up?, and with 6 women colleagues, Finding Your Voice. She has established herself nationally as an author, lecturer and seminar leader, presenting frequently to major corporate audiences of women executives.

Dr. Cantor is, additionally, a state and national leader in American psychology. She is a Past President of the American Psychological Association (1996-7) and has completed a term on the Association's Board of Directors. She is also a past-president of the New Jersey Psychological Association and for 5 years served as the Director of Professional Affairs for that association. She is a co-founder of Women in Psychology for Legislative Action, a national Political Action Committee. She currently serves as Chair of the APA Insurance Trust, President of the American Psychological Foundation, and a board member of the Rosalynn Carter Institute.
