CAREGIVER SUPPORT CENTER

Caregiver Support Center

Serving Caregiving Families in South-Central Georgia

The Caregiver Support Center is housed at the Rosalynn Carter Institute on the campus of Georgia Southwestern State University in Americus, Ga. The Center provides information, education and training on area resources and evidence- based caregiver programs for both family and professional caregivers. Georgia Reach is a popular program presented by the Center in cooperation with local partners including the Council on Aging. Georgia Reach provides in-home consultation and services to Alzheimer's caregivers.

To access the services of the Center, call 229-931-2707 and schedule an initial consultation with Gayle Alston, Center Director, or another memeber of the RCI staff. The consultation can take place in any location of your choosing including your own home or our office. We will initially want to know about your current situation and needs and will work closely with you to identify services, strategies and resources to meet those needs. We can provide ongoing counseling, advice, training, or a combination of services to help you as a caregiver.

Please, give us a call.
