The Rosalynn Carter Institute offers education and training programs on topics related to caregiving in locations throughout the country. Formats range from keynote presentations to full-day workshops. The RCI routinely offers the following two standard one-day workshops:

Leadership Preparation Workshop
WORKSHOP OBJECTIVES:
At the end of this workshop, participants will be able to:
- Describe the underlying philosophy and approach of the Caring for You, Caring for Me education and support program for caregivers.
- Describe the general content of the Caring for You, Caring for Me program.
- Understand and appreciate the function of group exercises used in the Caring for You, Caring for Me program.
- Use the Leader's Guide and Participant's Manual to conduct the Caring for You, Caring for Me program.
- Describe the role of the program leader in conducting the Caring for You, Caring for Me program.
- Discuss various options for organizing, scheduling, and marketing the program.
- Describe methods of evaluating the Caring for You, Caring for Me program.

Caring and Competent Caregivers
Professionals Helping Families
WORKSHOP OBJECTIVES:
At the end of this workshop, participantes will be able to:
- Distinguish between two opposing professional orientations to caregiving.
- Discuss the role of "caring" in professional relationships with family caregivers.
- Describe effective strategies for building cooperative relationships with other professionals and family caregivers.
- List common characteristics of family caregivers.
- Be sensitive to and appreciate the needs and concerns of family caregivers.
- Describe programs and resources designed to assist family caregivers.
- Perform a family caregiver assessment using an instrument developed by the Rosalynn Carter Institute.
- Discuss stressors and risks associated with the professional caregiver role.
- Describe self-care strategies for professional caregivers.
