Kathryn E. Cade

Kathy Cade is currently working as an independent consultant, following her retirement from FleetBoston Financial Corporation, a diversified financial services company formed by the merger of BankBoston Corporation and Fleet Financial Group in October, 1999. Ms. Cade joined BankBoston in 1983 as an investment banker in the company's Public Finance Group. She went on to manage both the Fixed Income Division and the Global Derivatives Group. For the past two and a half years she has served as chief of staff to the President of Fleet's Global Bank.

Prior to joining BankBoston, Ms. Cade served as Director of Projects for Rosalynn Carter from 1977-81. Under Mrs. Carter's direction, she created a new staff office in the White House to manage projects in the areas of mental health, aging, women's issues and refugee relief. From 1973-77 Ms. Cade was a producer of health and science documentaries for the Public Broadcasting System at WNET-TV in New York and at The Science Program Group Inc. in Washington, D.C.

Ms. Cade has been active with a number of non-profit organizations. She currently serves as Vice Chair of the Board of Directors of the Judge Baker Children's Center, is a member of the Mental Health Task Force at the Carter Center, and a director of the Rosalynn Carter Institute at Georgia Southwestern University.

Ms. Cade holds a BA in History and Science, magna cum laude, from Radcliffe College and a Master's degree in Management from Yale University.
